Charles S. Johnson
January 8, 2019

Charles Samuel Johnson, was born Feb. 2nd, 1945 to Samuel and Katherine (Robertson) Johnson (both deceased) and was reunited with them Jan. 8th, 2019.

He graduated from Princess Anne High School in 1963. He entered the Navy and followed in his Father’s footsteps and began working at the Ford Motor Co. in Norfolk on Aug. 26th, 1963 where he was a Paint Supervisor, retiring Dec. 31st, 1995. He then worked for Dow Chemical as a contractor to Ford Motor Co.

He is survived by his Wife Crystal with whom were together over 21 years, who adored and made sure he was comfortable to the end. Daughters Laura Beth and Karen Amber (James), Grandson Samuel James. Brothers Clayton Roland (Janice) and Michael Wayne. Nieces Carrie (Chris), Megan and Erica. Stepsons Randy Johnson, Bobby Bray (Amy), Ryan Bennington (Samantha). Step-grandchildren Ashlee, Aiden, Kasen, Tatumn, Kamden and Maezy.

Charlie loved his entire family and made sure they were all well taken care of. His circle of friends is endless, he could be any where in the country and know someone, mostly from the Ford Plant. A special thank you to Arnie Bariciano and Ronnie Joyce for their support and workmanship to make sure he was safe in his home. To all his caretakers, from Oncology to Home Health to Hospice. Cancer doesn’t discriminate and is a horrible disease. He fought hard and gave it his best shot at trying to beat it; but it was too much. Cancer took over his body, but not his soul.

Charlie enjoyed fishing, walking on the boardwalk, cigars, Redskins Football, Nascar, honey do’s, his recliner and his sweet tooth. His quick wit, humor and guidance will be deeply missed.

A celebration of life will be held Sunday, Jan. 27th from 2pm-7pm at Blarney Stone Pub; Plaza Trail. Condolences can be made at Cremation Society of Virginia www.vacremationsociety.com.
