Kevin Keith Shawver, 56, of Virginia Beach and formerly of Roanoke, Va. passed away on November 25, 2018. He is survived by his father Ben F. Shawver and wife Ponnie of Shawsville, Va.; his mother Sylvia A. Shawver of Bedford, Va.; brother and sister-in-law Jeff and Ann Shawver of Catawba, Va; sister and brother-in-law Kim and Mike Wilbourne, of Roanoke and many nephews, nieces and their families.
Kevin was preceded in death by his sister Toni S Roberts on October 4, 2018. Toni and Kevin are together in heaven with their Lord. Kevin believed that Jesus Christ was his savior.

Kevin grew up in Roanoke, Va and the nearby town of Shawsvile, Va. He graduated from Shawsvile High school. He lived and worked in Roanoke for many years after graduating. He worked construction at his father’s company and eventually become a plumber by trade. Kevin played the drums and enjoyed his time playing drums for a Roanoke blues band named “Fat Daddy “
Kevin moved to Virginia Beach in 2001. He worked hard to finished all requirements to become a Master Plumber and started his own business. Kevin loved to ride his beach bike, surf and play golf, his heart and soul belonged near the beach.

A memorial service will be conducted in Roanoke for family and friends at 11 a.m. December 13, 2018, at Greene Memorial Church, 402 2nd Street, Roanoke. A reception will immediately follow at the church.

A memorial service will be conducted in Virginia Beach for friends and family at 11 December 15, 2018, at Vineyard Community Church, 4444 Expressway Dr. Virginia Beach. A reception will be held at the Red Wing Golf Course, 1144 Prosperity Road, Virginia Beach at 1 o’clock.
